Speaker B

Speaker A

Speaker B

Cultural note: In Chinese job interviews, it is common for interviewers to ask directly about salary expectations. Candidates are expected to give a range rather than a specific number. Mentioning that you also care about development opportunities, not just money, is seen as a positive trait.
Receiving a Job Offer
An HR representative calls a candidate to inform them that they have passed the interview and discuss next steps.
Speaker A

Speaker B
Speaker A
Speaker B

Speaker A
Speaker B
Speaker A
Speaker B
Cultural note: In China, it is standard practice for new employees to go through a probation period (试用期, shìyòngqī), typically lasting 1-6 months depending on the contract length. During this period, the salary is usually 80% of the full rate. Asking about 五险一金 (five insurances and one fund) is expected and shows you are informed about your rights.
