感动 (gǎndòng) is being moved emotionally; by kindness, a gift, a film, or someone's sacrifice. It's both the feeling and the verb: 他的话感动了我 (his words moved me). Don't confuse it with 感谢 (gǎnxiè, thank) or 触动 (chùdòng, a lighter 'struck a chord'). Chinese culture values 感动 highly; CCTV has a yearly 感动中国 awards show honoring inspiring people. When someone does you a big favor, saying 太感动了 with feeling is warmer than just 谢谢.
