When to use it
没问题 (méi wèntí) literally means 'no question' and works everywhere; agreeing to a request, reassuring someone, or confirming a plan. It's the safe choice in any register. 没事 (méi shì) literally 'no matter' is lighter; closer to 'it's nothing' or 'no worries,' and is what you say when someone thanks you or apologizes. Don't confuse 没问题 with 不客气 (bú kèqi): 不客气 is 'you're welcome' after 谢谢. If a friend says 'sorry I'm late,' respond with 没事, not 不客气. The tone on 没 is a full third tone but often reduced to half-third in fast speech.
