Cultural note: Street breakfast vendors (早餐摊 zǎocān tān) are extremely common in Chinese cities. Many people buy breakfast on the go rather than cooking at home. Mobile payment via WeChat Pay or Alipay (扫码 sǎo mǎ — literally "scan the code") has almost completely replaced cash at these stalls.
